September 1998

By now all of us have completed some sort of official duty in the Navy, even if it's being an assistant company officer for the Plebers in 2002. I've heard that it's been a cool summer there, no black flags at all. We all know '98 had a real Plebe summer. It's just not right if you don't have the sweat beads rolling down your back as you stand at attention on Red Beach waiting to go wherever you need to go.

It's plenty hot down here in Panama City, FL. Some of our future nukes sent to dive school first, and Class 98-60-SCUBA is about to graduate: J. Zurn, B. Levander, J. Ethridge, B. Guise, C. Thayer, E. Zito, E. Sager, D. Leather, G. Johnston, S. Pfirman, T. Yanik, S. McGowan, J. Fuller, R. Erdman and D. Forman. We've lost a few along the way, but overall we have made a good name for ourselves down here. Our SPECOPS crew is also tearing it up down here. S. Schwedhelm, B. Stamp, A. Razadin, R. Schwanbeck, K. Kleinschnittger, J. Marvell, B. Skubin and T. Limbert are setting the place in their Basic Diving Officer course. They will all be here for six more months. They have my pity.

Communication is low at this point, so if you have ANY info that the rest of us should know about, email it to me at DSForman@aol.com. For those of you who ordered a copy of the graduation video, I just spoke to the producer and it should arrive at your homes starting in late August. If you still want to order one, call 800-998-5420.
