November 1998

Happy Turkey Month, Great '98! Hopefully we can all give thanks to the Navy for something this month. You should all be able to enjoy a little extra time with the family this month. For all the nukes, we're just one big happy family, and we'll all be spending Thanksgiving together, since we have school the next day. Unfortunately we won't be able to watch college football on Brian Eisenhuth's 53" TV. Apparently he donated it to the North Charleston fund for the needy (it got stolen). We'll just have to find another.

Elsewhere in the states, the next SCUBA class in Panama City, FL got a nice taste of Hurricane Earl. Dale Matheny, Mike Breen and Tim Clark are just a few of the '98ers who felt about 33" of rain.

Phil Duba is enjoying the civilian life for all of us, at Lockheed Martin Corp. in New Jersey. He's hanging with the folks still, saving up his funds so he can buy the Class of '98 Beach House. Party on.

I hope none of you have missed Gabe Cavazos' TV debut on the 1-800-Collect commercial with Al Bundy on the beach. "I want to make a call, but I left my change on my blanket" It was a great performance, and we expect encores in the future.

That's all I have to pass on to you for now, Ryan Erdman and I just hope that by the time this article goes to print, Shawn Gee and Arny Stankus are not living on our floor anymore. I guess our floor was a better option than the "Extended Stay America" while they wait on their apartment to open up.

Email, write, call, whatever, just let me know how '98 is doing outside the bounds of USNA. I look forward to hearing from you all. Happy Thanksgiving.

Fair winds... DSF
