November 2002

Hello Great '98!

Happy Thanksgiving once again to everyone. Hopefully, most of you have the time in your schedules to make it home, or at least somewhere of your choice for the big meal on that special Thursday. I unfortunately, will be on WestPac this holiday season, but look forward to seeing my family in some of our liberty ports.

Sorry to say, but I have no emails from anyone this month. So I feel it is time to solicit parents again: moms and dads, if your son or daughter is too busy to write, please feel free to send me an email and tell me all the great things he or she is doing. If you happen to feel silly writing it for them, I don't have to say that it came from you, I just put the facts in the article. The more I know, the better I can make the article.

As for what's happening on this rock in the Pacific, Brian Guise is just one day away from rotating to shore duty. Needless to say, he's a little excited. He'll be recruiting up in Chicago.

And as busy as I've been taking care of my three and a half month old, that is actually all I know about our Classmates over the last month. Sorry so short. For your long term planning purposes, our Reunion will be Labor Day Weekend. More people will be able to make a holiday weekend instead of an otherwise "random" homecoming weekend. As we get into our later reunions (10, 15, 20, etc.) we'll shift to actual homecoming weekend.

Take care everyone, stay safe as we continue to defend freedom. Fair winds...-DSF
