December 2002

Happy holidays great '98. Best wishes for a safe and happy holiday season, and a wonderful new year. This will be the last article for a while that comes from "‹DSF." I will be departing on WestPac before the next deadline, and will pass this lucky task to another Classmate. You can keep sending emails to the address above, and I'll be sure they have access to get all the Shipmate emails.

Now to the news for this month: Steve Schwedhelm wrote me a short but informative note:
Just letting you know that some of us EOD types are alive still. Ken Kleinschnittger, Tim Limbert, and I finally finished our training pipeline a couple of days ago, graduating from EOD school. Tim was, of course, the Honor Grad of our Class with an impressive grade point average. Ken will be going to Guam with EOD Mobile Unit 5. Tim is heading to Charleston, SC, with his wife, Holly. And as for me, I'll be going to Whidbey Island, WA, and getting married on the way there to CAPT Debora J. Marston who is an Air Force nurse here at Eglin AFB. Other '98ers in the community are Aleksi Razsadin who is out in San Diego with EOD Mobile Unit 3. John Marvell and Brian Skubin are in training here at Naval School EOD for just a little bit longer.
Thanks, Steve, congratulations on the wedding, and congrats to Tim for taking Honor Grad, go '98!

And that wraps up this month for letters from the Class. Once again, happy holidays, happy New Year, and fair winds... -DSF
